Happy Birthday!

Today's card uses all the same supplies as the card I posted previously. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads 6x6 paper pad. The embellishments are from the Sweet Threads collection as well. 

The image and cardstock are from Stampin' Up. I used the Marvey Liquid Applique on this cupcake as well. The last card I posted, I used the Liquid Applique straight on the white cardstock. On this card I colored the icing with a Stampin' Up marker, added the Liquid Applique, and held the heat gun on the Liquid Applique until it started to turn brown. I love the "toasted" look it gave the cupcake.

I have many more cards I've been working on that I plan to post soon. I'm also working on a couple of mini albums for a friend. She asked me to make one for her granddaughter and her new grandson, who will be here in May. I just started this morning on both albums. I hope I have enough time before May. ;-)

Birthday Cupcake

I used Sweet Threads patterned paper from Basic Grey and Soft Suede cardstock from Stampin' Up' as the base for this card.

The image, from Stampin' Up, was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with my Copic Markers. I used Marvy Liquid Applique and gold chunky glitter the make the icing. I heated it using my heat gun until it puffed up. I layered this on Soft Suede cardstock. I tied a knot around a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and layered that on the Soft Suede.

I used a Galaxy Gellie Roll glitter pen to give the appearance of a silver serving platter.

I loved making this card. I've order a few more cupcake image stamps. I'm not sure why, but I'm loving the cupcakes right now.

Lemon Flower Card Stack

I went a little DCWV Lemon Flower stack crazy. I made one card, then just couldn't seem to quit. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. (P.S. I gave them all away in card packs.)
