Peachy Keen Stamp's and Whimsical Wednesday's Patriotic Project

I created this card for this week's Peachy Keen Stamps LFIF Challenge and Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #12.

I used my Gypsy to plan and cut this project. Using the Doodlecharms cartridge, I cut  the United States base shape out of a piece of parchment paper from my stash. The shadow was cut using Papertrey Ink cardstock. I clear embossed stars on the parchment layer. Then using my heat tool, I lightly burned the edges.

The word "Happy" was cut from Kate's ABCs. The remainder of the card was cut from the Graphically Speaking Cartridge. I used DCWV glitter paper to cut the word "JULY" but I wanted a different texture for the number "4." So I cut it out of Papertrey Ink cardstock. Then used Dazzle Versamark to emboss the entire piece with clear embossing powder.

I used the Distressed Stripes cuttlebug folder on a piece of white cardstock. I stitched this to an A2 size card base, and attached everything to the card, using pop dots for the number 4.

Then I cut a star and stamped a face using my Peach Keen Face Assortment. I embossed the edges of the star gold and attached it to the front of the card. I added the gems and called it done.

I'm Back with a challenge submission.

It's been a while. This is the first weekend I've been in my craftroom in little over a month. I never realize how much I get out of crafting until I'm away from it a lot.

My first project is a color challenge from MyPinkStamper.com. The challenge is to make a project using the colors orange, turquoise, and green.

I used Kate's ABCs and my Gypsy to cut this cute image. I used Stampin' Up cardstock and Basic Grey, Sweet Threads patterened paper.

I have lots more projects I've been working on. I plan to post them tonight.

Have a great Sunday,

Dana Desmond

Hello There Baby Bear

It's been a while since I posted a project. Recently, I started exploring the world of mini albums. They take a little while to complete, so I don't have too many finished projects to post. I'm almost done with my first album and plan to post pics as soon as it's finished.

In between working on the album, I finished this card. I colored this image from Stampin' Up a few months ago and put it in my "elements" bucket to use at a later date. Then I ran across the Nursery collection from DCWV and realized the colors matched the bear image perfectly.

The sentiment is also from the Bear Hug stamp set from Stampin' Up. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.

Bird and Basket

I have MIA for quite a while. I've gotten in the scrapbooking mode. I've almost completed my first mini album. I'll post pictures when I finish it.

Now on to today's card. This card image uses one of the stamps from the Peace Within stamp set from Stampin' Up.

The patterned paper is from DCWV. The cardstock is from Stampin' Up.

I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out using Nestabilities dies. It's a simple card, but I think if you have an intricate image, you don't always need a lot of embellishments.
