Birthday Girl

I made this card for my friend's birthday. We have a running joke about her chocolate addiction. The ribbon is from Walmart and the brad is from The Paper Studio.

I used DCWV patterned paper from the Sweet Shop and cardstock from Papertrey Ink.

The digi images are from CC Designs. I colored it with my Copic markers.

The stamp, ink and punch are from Stampin' Up.

Sherbet Strips Cards

I received this stamp set as a hostess gift from a Stampin' Up party I recently hosted. I colored it with my Copic markers.

The background paper and ribbon are from my stash.

The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and the punch is the Extra Large Decorative Label from Stampin' Up.

Here's another card using basically the same paper and layout, but with a different image. I believe this flower is from Inkadinkado. I colored it with my Copic markers and cut it out.

I stitched the stem using embroidery floss. I used dimensionals and attached the flower.

The sentiment is from 40:31 Creations Say Something set.

I've been trying to use some of my scraps. I think it's fun to see how many different looks I can get out of one patterned paper.

Throwback Thursday Sketch Challenge - Episode 179

Here's another Throwback Thursday Challenge from My Creative Time with Emma. This post will be very brief.

The patterned paper has been in my stash for about 15 years. I think it's from Paper Pizazz, but not sure. The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.

I purchased this CC Designs digi image from allthatscraps.com. I printed it on my ink jet printer and colored it using Copic markers.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's You're a Gem set. The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart. I have tons of projects waiting in the wing to be posted. I've been challenged to do a "creepy" rabbit Easter card. So, that's my plans for this weekend...that and prom dress shopping.

Peace Within Wall Hanging

The project I'm sharing today is a 6x6 wall hanging. It isn't quite finished yet, but I was so pleased with the results I had to share. I'm not sure how I want to frame it. I'm thinking an 8x8 shadowbox frame with a matte. I'm goint to go to my local Hobby Lobby or Joann's this weekend and see what they have to offer.

All the patterned papers are from DCWV Rustic stack. This has to be my most favorite stack. I've used it on everything from baby cards to sympathy cards. Each project had it's own look and feel. You almost can't tell the paper came from the same stack.

The cardstock and images are from Stampin' Up. I hosted a Stampin' Up party and received this stamp free as part of my hostess package. The name of it is Peace Within. I've been looking at it for quite a while and couldn't wait to start playing with it. I used my Copic Sketch markers to color this cute kitty scene. I love how the chair turned out.

The sentiment is also from the Peace Within set. I used my Nestabilites Classic Ovals and Classic Scallops to cut out the main image and the sentiment. The ribbon is a recycled piece I pull off of a packaged bubble bath set I received for Christmas last year. Before I started crafting, I never realized how many products use ribbon and such as their packaging. Before I started crafting, would have thrown stuff like this in the trash.

The small purple flowers are made from two Martha Stewart Hydranga punches and Stampin' Up cardstock. The pearls are a straight strip that I curved to make a swirl.

 

The butterflies were punched out of DCWV Glitter paper using the Martha Stewart Butterfly Trio punch. The pearls on the butterflies are from Stampin' Up.

Stamps from the $1 Bin

I found this Studio112 stamp in the dollar bin at my local Joann's. I almost missed them, because they were in a bin by the exit door (great product placement guys). When I saw this stamp, immediately I thought of this patterned paper from DCWV Autumn stack. I think they go together very well.

The cardstock Stampin' Up. The image is stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Momento Tuxedo black. I used Copic markers to color the image.

I used my Nestabilities Classic Ovals and Scallops dies and the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags die. I added Glossy Accents to the center of the flower. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up You're a Gem set.
