Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge

My latest submission for Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge. I really wish I had more Peachy Keen Stamps to use for these challenges, but unfortunately, I don't. So, I used the Vintage Picnic Basket set image and sentiment.

All ribbon, patterned paper and cardstocks are from Stampin' Up. The tag is cut from Spellbinders Decorative Labels.

I colored the flowers and basket with my Copic Markers. I fussy cut the basket and popped it up on the focal point. I added Glossy Accents to the strawberries.

Peachy Keen Challenge LFIF

I started with the patterned paper for this design and then came the sentiment. Then I found a cute strawberry shortcake image on one of my Cricut cartridges and the rest just fell in place.



The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I punched it with the Large Decorative Label punch.



I used Decorative Chalk for the cheek color, my Gelly Roll pen for the whites of the eyes and Glossy Accents to make the eyes pop.

Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge #47

Wow, three posts in one night. I know, I should have waited to post some of these, but the next few days are going to be so busy, I was afraid I wouldn't get a chance to post them to the challenge pages.

I used my Gypsy to design the elements for this project.


I found a way to use my Peachy Keen Valentine's Day stamps that I won a few weeks ago. I stamped the mouse in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I used my Copic marker to color it. Then I cut out the mouse, making sure to cut off the wings and bow.

All card stock is from Papertrey Ink. The designer paper is from DCWV Sweet Shoppe stack.

Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge #46

I'm back with another Peachy Keen Stamp challenge submission. The sketch for this challenge can be found at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/.

 All papers are Papertrey Ink. The patterned paper is from the Egg Hunt pack. I used my Gypsy to weld the shadows of the duck and umbrella. I cut this in light blue. I cut the remaining layers, inked the edges using Stampin' Up Classic ink and assembled the focal point.

I used Peachy Keen Critter Faces PK-745 for the duck's face. I used my white Gelly Roll pen to color the eyes and add stitching to the umbrella. I colored the beak with a colored pencil. The raindrops are epoxy stickers I found at Michael's  for $.49.


 

The sentiment is from The Paper Studio-Card Sayings. I used my Spellbinders Labels to cut, emboss and ink the tag. I ran a strip of Papertrey Ink ribbon around the focal point.

This card could be used for so many purposes. It would make a great baby card.

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Project

Here's a 4x4 card I made that could be used for many different occasions. I made the background using white cardstock, post-it note cut into a cloud shape, and Tim Holtz Distess Ink in Tumbled Glass.

 The ballon is cut from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. The sentiment is from 40:31 Creations Love stamp set.

The face is from the Everyday Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps(sorry about the glare).

WOOHOO!! Just a few lines to brag

I couldn't believe it when I opened my e-mail and saw I was the winner of the Peachy Keen LFIF X's and O's challenge (Here's my winning entry). I can't wait to receive my prize. There were so many great entries, I didn't think I had a chance. How awesome!!! I'm having a hard time wiping the smile off of my face. LOVE MY PEACHY KEEN STAMPS.

This is just the "wind in my sails" moment I needed to get motivated. So, craft room, here I come!

P.S. I've been eyeballing Emma's new stamps over at My Creative Time. From what I understand, they are made by the same company as Peachy Keen Stamps, so you know they are great quality. Emma's stamps have some very cute sayings that would work on many different projects.

Peach Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge #44

First I have to apologize for being MIA for the last couple of days. The snow here put me a little behind, so I wasn't able to do much crafting. Last night I went to my Stampin' Up club meet and felt so inspired, I came home and made several projects. I will post those over the next few days, as well as the projects we made at my club meet.

But first I have to post a card I made for the Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge. I made this Thursday night, but this is the first chance I've gotten to post it. Click here to see the criteria for this challenge. I'm going to list materials first. Hopefully, this will make the directions a little shorter.

Materials:

• Papers: Stampin' Up cardstock, DCWV
• Ink: Stampin' Up, Gelly Roll Pen
• Tools: Cricut, Gypsy, Cuttlebug,
  Swirls Folder
• Cartridge:
  Mini Monsters
• Stamps: Papertrey Ink, Peachy Keen Stamps,
• Die: Papertrey Ink
• Embellishements: Stickles, Ribbon from Walmart

I started with a A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) base in white. I cut a piece of pink paper at 4 x 5 1/4 and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swirls folder. I inked the edges using red ink. I adhered this to the front of the cardstock. I cut a piece of patterned paper at 2 1/2 x 3. I attached this to the middle right of the card. I added a strip of black cardstock cut at 1 1/2 x 4. On top of that I added a strip of red cardstock measuring 1 1/4 x 4. I added a white ribbon to this and a bow.

I cut my mini monster at 3" using the Mini Monsters cartridge. I stamped the face using the Critter Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps. I love the lashes. I'm going to have to invest in the Lashes faces. I popped the mini monster up on the upper right of the card.

I cut the tickets with with the Papertrey Ink tickets die. I used the coordinating, Just the Ticket, stamp set and added the images to the front of the die cut piece. Tickets are so hot right now and this set comes with 3 border styles, several greetings, and coordinating images. You could actually use this die with any stamp set in your stash. You can expect to see this in quite a few of my projects.

I inked the edges of the tickets using red ink and added it to the front of the card as my sentiment. When I finished with the card, the red strip didn't look quite right. I realized it needed hearts to tie in the patterned paper, but I don't have a heart stamp small enough, so I used my Gelly Roll pen and free handed them. Last I added Christmas Red Stickles to the heart.

I love how the mini monster looks like he's asking for a huge hug. Who would have thought a Halloween cartridge could work for Valentine's Day.

Peachy Keen Stamps LFIF - XOXO

This week's Let's Face It Friday challenge at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ is to create a project using any of the Peachy Keen Stamps faces. The we must include "XOXO" somewhere on the project. I decided to make my project out of "XOXO."

Using my Gypsy, I made the card base by welding together the shadow image for the XOXO from the Sentimentals cartridge to the base image for the raccoon from the Create-a-Critter cartridge . Then I copied this welded image, flipped it and welded it to the front to make the back of the card so that when it folded it would be a shaped card. I cut the card base using black cardstock from Stampin' Up. 

I cut the red layer for the XOXO using Real Red Stampin' Up cardstock, added it to the card base and added the stitch lines. My arthritis is acting up this week, so I had a little trouble with the stitched lines, but they aren't too bad.

I cut all of the layers for the raccoon and adhered them to the base. I stamped the raccoon face using the medium Critter Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps. I love this stamps set so much, I'm going to order the large critter faces. I colored in the eyes with my Gelly Roll pen and pink Copic Marker.

You can't see it very well, but I used my new 40:31 Creations Love stamps to emboss the "Happy Valentine's Day" on the inside of the card. If I'd had white ink, I would have used that instead.

Right now I don't have any other projects ready to post. I'm hoping I will get some of my Valentine's cards started. Last Friday I received my Martha Stewart scoring board and I didn't even take it out of the box. There's a few techniques I want to try using the score board.

I'll try to post at least something tomorrow. Until then...

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #43

Now for my first sketch challenge. This one is for Peachy Keen Stamps. You can look at the challenge, to create a card that includes three of something surrounded by a frame with a background border. You can see the sketch here.

For this challenge, I started with Cricut cartridge Sentimentals and Doodlecharms. I used my Gypsy to cut the postage stamp layers and the envelopes, using patterned paper from Me and My Big Ideas and Paper Studio cardstock. I stamped faces on each envelope using PK-490 Everyday Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Using my Gellie Roll pen, I colored in the whites of the eyes.

I glued all the layers of the postage stamp together and added stitch lines with my Zig marker. Then I popped up each envelope with Stampin' Up Dimensionals.

For the background, I layered patterned paper from Me and My Big Ideas on a strip of blue Paper Studio cardstock. I used a border punch from Fiskars and adhered all of this to yellow cardstock.  I added stitch lines with my Zig marker. I Layered all of this on red cardstock and then on a white card base that measures 7 1/2 x 5 1/2. Then I added the ribbon from my stash.

Since I don't have too many stamps, I hand wrote the sentiment at the top right of the card. I am having so much fun with these challenges. Problem is, I don't know what I'm going to do with all of these cards. I've never been a card giver. Guess I'm going to have to start collecting address so I can send them out to family and friends.

Peachy Keen "Let's Face it Friday" Challenge

I purchased my Peachy Keen stamps last November and had never taken them out of the package. I thought these are such cool stamps, I have to do something with them. So, for the first time, I'm going to participate in the Peachy Keen "Let's Face it Friday" Challenge.

The rules:

1. Create a Thank You card
2. Project must include Peachy Keen Faces
3. Design must be new and made for this challenge
4. Must be uploaded before January 20th

Here's my submission:

All paper, cardstock and ink are from Stampin' Up. The patterned paper is from Raspberry Lemonade, which is retired, but I just ordered it last week at a great discount through the online clearance rack. I love the colors.

I started with an A2 size card base in Crushed Curry cardstock. I used the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge and cut the heart at 3 1/4". I inked the edges of the heart with Melon Mambo ink. I glued the layers together, added gem stones from Hobby Lobby to the crown, and used the PK-490 Everyday Faces Assortment and stamped the face. I used my Gellie Roll pen and filled in the whites of the eye and added the stitching to the bow and crown. I put the heart aside.

I cut the back ground paper at 4 x 5 1/4 and inked the edges with Melon Mambo ink. Then on a 3/4" piece of patterned paper I stamped and embossed the Hugs & Kisses border stamp (I can not find the name or manufacturer of this stamp set, so if anyone knows who it is, please let me know) using Versamark and Ranger detail white embossing powder . I rounded the corners using the 1/4" setting on my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chompers. I added the stitching with my Gellie Roll pen and I attached this piece to the top of the card.

I cut a piece of Melon Mambo card stock at 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 and a piece of patterned paper at 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. I rounded the corners of both pieces using the 1/4" setting on my Corner Chompers. I glued both of these pieces together, added decorations with my Gellie Roll pen, and attached the whole piece to the front of my card.

I punched the tag in Whisper white using the Large Decorative Label punch from Stampin' Up. I inked the edges with Melon Mambo and added the sentiment using Card Sayings by TPC in Rich Razzleberry ink by Stampin' Up. I added this to the bottom of the card. I popped up the heart using Stampin' Up Dimensionals.

I tied a bow using ribbon from my stash and added a flower using Prima flowers and a brad from Recollections. To finish off the card, I added stiched lines around the entire card and added Stickles to the tag.

This card is a little out of my comfort zone, but that's my goal. Stepping out of my comfort zone is the only way my cards will get better. Wish me luck.
