Challenge: My Creative Time with Emma

Emma over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ has had a rough few days. So, if you get a chance to head over to her blog and give her some words of encouragement, I know she would appreciate it.

This week's challenge for Throwback Thursday is to use any older cartridge, but it must be something for St. Patrick's Day.

I used my Gypsy to plan this whole project.

The frame is cut at 5 1/4 from the Storybook cartridge. I used Stampin' Up cardstock in Soft Suede for the base and Very Vanilla for the layer. I inked the edges of the Very Vanilla with Crumb Cake ink.

I didn't have a cartridge with a shamrock on it, so I welded together 4 hearts from the Gypsy Font cartridge. I used an exclamation point from the Blackletter cartridge for the stem. I used the hide contour feature to turn off the point of the exclamation point.

I cut the shamrock out of Old Olive cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I inked the edges using Crumb Cake ink from Stampin' Up. I added a stitched brad from the Paper Studio.

My card base is Old Olive cut at 11" x 5 1/2", folded to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The designer paper is from DCWV. It measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". I inked the edges of both pieces with Crumb Cake ink.

The sentiment is from Stampabilites. I stamped it in Old Olive ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I layer everything together, popped up the shamrock and  finished by adding pearls and a brown piece of 5/8" ribbon from my stash.

This card was so much fun. Every time I use my Gypsy to plan a project, I'm not disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by,
Dana Desmond

  4. I know. I wish Stampin' Up would join forces with Provocraft like Creative memories did. The have Cricut Cartridges exclusive to them.
